Background
Founded in 2002 by Managing Director Tim Harris, Enton is a
leading provider of mobile information solutions.
Our viewpoint is simple. Connecting the mobile worker to the
organisation's systems and business processes delivers greater
productivity and improved customer service. Why do we believe
this? Because we have already delivered these benefits to our
clients. We also recall the efficiency gains and economic growth
fuelled in the late 20th century by the provision of
desktop PCs to office based staff, and expect these to be mirrored
in mobile business as information systems and communication networks mature.
However, this simple idea is too often burdened with complexity,
or a failure to get the basics right. Basics such as making sure
that critical information is delivered to the mobile worker,
and making mobile tools work in harmony with existing processes and
office based systems. Change does not have to be complex. Being
successful needs clarity of vision, building carefully from firm
foundations, and attending to the needs of staff.
We established Enton in response to the frustration keenly felt
by operations directors that they were not able to exploit the opportunity
offered by mobile technology to improve organisational performance and
customer service. What we do is improve business through effective
deployment of mobile information solutions, ensuring that these solutions
are reliable and deliver the required functionality to support the mobile worker.
